However, if you load your car onto a ship and travel between countries, the journey will take 3-4 months.

Travel pushes us out of our comfort zones, inspiring us to see, taste, and try new things.

It constantly challenges us not only to adapt to and explore new surroundings, but also to engage with new people, embrace new and meaningful experiences, and share them with friends and loved ones.

How much money do I need to travel the world for a year?

How much money do I need to travel the world for a year?

I want to travel around the world and found that is not only a financial matter.

I realized that I have to be prepared to learn, to watch every single detail and most of all, to enjoy every single experience travel offers.

In general, a year of travel around the world should cost between $20,000 and $30,000 per person.

It means an average of  $50.00 per day for a budget trip and up to $500.00 per day for a super luxurious trip.

This rough estimate is based on reading other bloggers’ travel budgets, various travel planning resources, and our own experience.

So you don´t have to be rich to travel around the world.

Let me say it again: you don’t have to be wealthy to travel.

There are numerous ways to travel on a budget (or for free) if you are willing to be creative.

Travelling the world on a shoestring budget sounds like an impossible dream.

But it is possible, and you can do it responsibly without going bankrupt.

Meanwhile, I get the money needed, I read all about destinations, search on the web for prices and related information and of course, I want to travel the world with the one I love.

How long is a world tour?

To answer this question I have to refer to the famous “it depends”.

It depends on your starting point and how many countries you want to put in your itinerary.

But now there is a great advantage.

From the famous Julius Verne novel “Around the World in 80 Days”, transportation options have done the trip much faster so you do not spend days crossing the Atlantic.

Today you can save a lot of time between destinations and use it to visit more of each place.

More popular groups, such as BTS and TWICE, with a sizable international fanbase, will typically tour for a longer period, around 6 months on average.

SVT and GFRIEND, on the other hand, will tour for a shorter period, typically 3–4 months.

Traveling Solo or with Companions

Embarking on a global adventure opens the door to a crucial decision: whether to venture solo or share the journey with companions.

Each choice comes with its unique set of benefits and considerations.

Solo Travel: Embracing Independence

The Unique Benefits of Solo Travel

  1. Ultimate Freedom: Solo travel offers unparalleled freedom, allowing you to shape your itinerary spontaneously. Embrace the flexibility to change plans on a whim.
  2. Self-Discovery: Solitude fosters self-discovery. Use the time alone to introspect, learn more about yourself, and gain a deeper understanding of your preferences and capabilities.

Overcoming Challenges and Savoring Freedom

  1. Building Confidence: Navigating a foreign land alone boosts confidence. Overcoming challenges independently cultivates resilience and adaptability.
  2. Connecting with Locals: Solo travellers often find it easier to connect with locals. The absence of a companion encourages interactions with people from diverse backgrounds.

Group Travel: Sharing the Journey

The Joys of Shared Experiences

  1. Shared Memories: Traveling with companions creates a treasure trove of shared memories. The joy of reminiscing about experiences with friends or family adds a unique dimension to your journey.
  2. Safety in Numbers: Group travel provides an added sense of security, especially in unfamiliar destinations. The collective awareness of the surroundings enhances safety.

Navigating Group Dynamics for a Harmonious Trip

  1. Collaborative Planning: Effective communication is key. Collaborate on itinerary planning to ensure everyone’s interests are considered, striking a balance between individual preferences and group activities.
  2. Respecting Differences: Understand and appreciate the diversity within the group. Be open to different travel styles and preferences, fostering a harmonious and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Whether you choose the solitude of solo travel or the camaraderie of a group journey, each path promises a unique and enriching adventure. Consider your personal preferences, goals, and the type of experience you seek when making this pivotal decision.

Conclusion

While I was doing my research for this post, the results made me say again: I want to travel around the world.

I have found it is possible, it is achievable and it only takes some effort on my part.

Indeed I have to consider that a 4-month trip means expenses and no income, so I have to save more money to return to my normal life.

But imagining the places, the experiences, and the people I will meet makes me feel in a state of grace.

I want to travel around the world and I hope you want it too!
